The origin of Tibetan Astro Science is basically from ancient India astronomy and the development of analysis using the movements of the planets creating a system to predict situations in daily life, consequences in past lives and preparation for future lives.
Other cultures contributed to creation of the system. It is well known the knowledge of the Persian cultures on astronomy that combined with the sages of the Vedic period in India.
With the birth of Prince Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha, a philosophical system was developed by him. This philosophy uses a psychological approach to understand our mental continuum, and the insight into the nature of the mind. During His life he also taught a very important system connecting our past, present and future lives in connection with our galaxy and planetary system structure. This is called Kalachakra
Tantra which means “cycle of life”, and it is divided intro three cycles: internal, external and alternative. The internal cycle deals with the energy flow of the human body through thousands of wind channels. The external cycle is concerned with the motions of the planetary movements, the years, the months, days and so on. Both external and internal cycles work together through the process of life. Alternative Kalachakra employs the meditation practices in a complex yoga, instructed for purification.
Through Tibetan Astrology we can know the elemental karmic conditions in life and how to overcome our limitations. It is designed to help us in the learning process of living. In the system of elemental analysis, Tibetan Astro Science has three branches: astrology, martial conquest and elemental divination.
